SINGER

I am singer and pianist by education. I have graduated from Pop & Jazz Conservatory in Helsinki in 1997 with dance music as my major. I have taught singing and performed as lead vocalist in Makea Elämä dance orchestra. Currently, I sing in Higher Ground Vocals choir and in Sami Karu Band as background vocalist.

As an artist, I master a vast repertoire of cover songs but I also compose my own music. I perform as soloist accompanying myself with a piano and with other people and groups. You can make a booking by contacting me.

Lady and the piano
My one-woman piano ensemble suits wonderfully small gatherings, such as family events. The repertoire covers a vast selection of contemporary music, from classics to my own songs, in different languages.

Stand up & sing
Curious observations, banal incidents, and bubbly imagination are the ingredients of this hilarious stand-up soup spiced with some singing and music.

Reddy Sisters, feat. Saana Karikumpu
Energetic girl power x 2! This expressive singer-songwriter duo performs in Finnish and English and can cater your event with the unique Instant Music concept, where the audience gets to participate in making music and/or lyrics to create an original song for the event.

Natiseva Kurttu, feat. Johanna Myyryläinen and Vilma Koski
Itching for some folk music? Bring on this pack of musical bitches and be entertained! This humour filled extravaganza will serve Finnish folk music in a way that NO ONE ends up playing second fiddle.

Music improsow Gone! feat. Teemu Kide
Anyone can sing and play, and this show will prove it. Bygones! is a boundary-breaking interactive show, where the performers and the audience explore together how the magic happens. Put on your best or worst performance and enjoy while it lasts – as it is bygones after that!

“In her performances, Sanna brings together different counter-energies – certainty and uncertainty, sensitivity and strength, presence and drifting, femininity and masculinity. That is something unique and magical, and keeps the audience in its grip.”

Susa Huotari, fellow traveller from the audience
